May 27, 2018 Exclusive After 10 years, the Fantage virtual world for kids will shut down on June 30, according to a message from the company. The virtual world had a. Why was toontown closed down in the first place? So the problems with ToonTown Online mainly began in 2009, where people started noticing a decrease in updates. Then, in 2010, the hacking crisis started to take off - around the same time as Storm Sellbot. No game company is happy when shut down day came. In fact I bet toontown met alot.

- Why Did Toontown Online Shutdown Update
After 10 years, the Fantage virtual world for kids will shut down on June 30, according to a message from the company.
The virtual world had a good run, but it joins other virtual worlds for youngsters like Club Penguin that have shuttered or are in the process of shutting like Runescape Classic.
It’s not clear how many users the site has now, but back in 2009, it had more than 3 million registered users. By 2014, that number had grown to 30 million.
The website will run as usual until the closing date. If there is time left on a player’s premium membership or if players have virtual currency, they can use it during the remaining time. But after it closes, their belongings in the world will be gone.
If players purchased a subscription through a third party, such as HiPay, they must contact them directly to cancel the subscription. All premium memberships and virtual currency purchases are non-refundable. The site’s payment page has been closed, and Fantage will no longer be accepting payments.
Above: A final message of shutdown for Fantage users.
“While Fantage was not as popular as Club Penguin, it was loved enough that its large user base was in sadness over the news. That’s not to say that it was unexpected though,” said Faria Jewel, a former Fantage fan, in an email.
She said it had changed a lot over the years.
“There has already been a petition to try to save the site, and fans have been trying to send enough mail to the company that the company started giving out automatic e-mails,” she said. “There is also a private server of the game being made, similar to how fans managed to recreate Club Penguin and Toontown Online with private servers after they were shut down.”
Fantage was born in March 2008 in the middle of a boom for kid-focused virtual worlds. Disney bought Club Penguin for $700 million in 2007, and soon enough, there were 200 kid-centric virtual worlds in development.
Cofounders Peter Bae and David Hwang studied Korean online games, and they experimented with what to do in the U.S. They started their company in January 2007 in Palisades Park, N.J. This was Hwang’s third startup and Bae’s second. They hired some contract programmers and decided to build a site focused on online education. First, they tried an online math website. It went nowhere.
Next, they decided to build a virtual world with built-in games for young kids. After a few months, they showed it to a focus group of kids who hated it. Bae and Hwang tossed it all out. Then, they created what would become Fantage (short for Fantastic Age), a fantasy world modeled after Disney’s Club Penguin.
Fantage was a place where kids could create cartoon-like avatars and dress them up, chat with friends, and play simple games. The art was based on cute Japanese anime style but with distinctly American twists. The characters had big heads, big eyes, and small bodies. They could make gestures and glide around on an air board. I was actually surprised to see what might be considered a copycat world take off.
The company staged a farewell party last week for the fans. I asked Bae for a comment but haven’t heard back yet.
“Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there will be any successor to this game (like how Club Penguin Island succeeded Club Penguin), so once Fantage closes, it will be the last we hear of them,” Jewel said.
More NewsA Bit About Us
Posted by The Toontown Team on June 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM
Look, the point is that you know quite a lot of things. But do you know the TTR Team? Bloomberg News published an article today that gives you a little bit more insight on who we are, what we do, and our goal for Toontown Rewritten. It's definitely worth the read! Just ignore the boy in that picture there -- he's a bit of a goober. You might know him as a certain guy named Sir Max.
But really, although you know our goal, who is the TTR Team? You've seen plenty of posts from us over the course of Toontown Rewritten's lifetime, but those of you who aren't the most active in the community or just recently began following Toontown Rewritten may not know much about us. This post will hopefully answer a few of your questions!
So seriously, who is the Toontown Rewritten team?
Giving you a bio of every single team member would take up too much of our precious character limit, so we'll save that for another time. To summarize: We're a bunch of nostalgic high school and college students (For the most part, anyway) hoping to bring life back into this game that we've all kept close to our hearts for all of these years, as well as earn some experience for the future. We don't have a 'base of operations' or an office to visit -- we're scattered all around the world and working in our free time. All of us are very close to each other despite the physical distance between us, and absolutely love working on the game together. We really couldn't have asked for a better team.
How do you plan on keeping the game safe and fun with such a small team?
Fun? That's the least of our worries! As we demonstrated with the Toon Council Presidential Election, we certainly have some tricks up our sleeve in terms of new content. We aren't just trying to revive Toontown, but we want to bring life back into it and continue the legacy that Disney began.
In terms of safety, that is an even bigger priority than fun. In addition to our 25 team members, we have been expanding our support team with mature volunteers from around the community who we trust can keep the game in tip-top shape. Just this week we've added plenty of new support members to keep up with the rush of the introduction of the PlayTime system. Toontown has always been a respected place by parents and kids alike to be safe while still maintaining the perfect level of fun, and we are going to do everything we humanly (tooningly?) can to make sure we not only preserve that image, but make it better than ever before.
How do you plan to keep the game running? Can I donate/pay/give/offer money to help you?
We're volunteering to keep this game alive, which involves much more than development. We pay out of pocket for our servers and other expenses, and we are perfectly fine where we are with that. While we know that you want to do your part to help -- don't worry about it! We refuse any form of payments or donations, and we refuse to request it in the future. (That includes other forms of donations such as gameservers, virtual currency, etc.) Toontown Rewritten will always be free for everyone. Leave the finances to us!
If I can't give you money, how can I help support the game?
The best way to support the game is to stay active in the community, participate in events both in and out of game, and most of all: have fun! You guys are the reason we're doing this, and your encouragement is what keeps us going.
I'm a bit concerned that this project is being ran by a bunch of kids rather than a respected company such as Disney. How can I ensure that Toontown will be in good hands?
That's a good question, because you're right. We aren't a respected company, and this is our first experience with anything on this scale. We especially say this to you parents who are worried about how safe your kids may be while playing. Many of our support team members are parents too and know how it feels to put trust into an unknown group. (Although even more so, many of the core team members are teens who know what it's like to have strict parents.) Over this past year, we really hope that you have gotten to know us and found us to be trustworthy. Many respectable establishments such as Bloomberg, Technology Tell, and Schell Games have had first hand experiences with us and feel like we have a shot at keeping this game to the same standard that Disney set it to. Even then, we know it can be hard to entirely trust us. We're doing our absolute best to earn it from you, and hopefully one day we will if we haven't already!
The best thing we can tell you to do to trust us is to talk to us. Whether it be through email, forums, or any other method -- we're happy to talk to you and hear about any concerns you have. We want you to be safe, we want your kids to be safe, and we want the entire game to be safe. If we can't live up to the standard that Disney set for Toontown, we aren't going to run it. When it comes down to the bare bones of things your safety, excitement, and trust means the most to us. Toontown doesn't matter if we can't ensure that you can be safe and fun while playing it.
If you ask me? Well, I have absolutely no doubts that we can achieve it. But hey, that's coming from just your everyday goober. Thanks for everything, to all of you. We're looking forward to playing Toontown with you once again!
If you have any more questions for us, feel free to post them in the comments or email us at [email protected].

Your love for each other is the very foundation of exactly why TTR is a great server. I'm so proud of all of you. Thank you for all you've done.
Woah! Your like, famous! Only a matter of time before you get featured on the totally trustworthy Fox News! A goober can dream though.
Beautiful!! You guys are great TTR staff team!! Keep up the amazing work!!
Your efforts are much appreciated :)
I certainly trust you guys and cant wait for the game to be released to the public!
That's amazing that ttr got discovered so fast :p prod of you ttr workers ;p
Keep working on this game and don't stop anytime soon. Even if Toontown 2 is real I don't think I would stop playing TTR.
You guys are amazing.

I speak french : Je suis un parent et j'ai entièrement confiance en le staff de Toontown Rewritten . :)
We salute you, Joey Ziolkowski.Wait, that's your last name? (Just kidding, not trying to be mean.)
I can trust you that you might release this game in Late June or Early June and late July. Plus I am so proud of you fixing bugs. TTR is a greatest server also! Keep up the good work TTR Staff! See you in the game or until public release. P.S. (I love this game)
I am certainly not a teenager, or a 20-something. In fact, I am old enough to be the grandfather of the teenagers. I played TT when it first came out, for about a year and a half. Disney was slowly adding content, but it was too slow for me. It became too repetitive, especially after I maxed several of my toons. I also built the first uber-Toon, and was proud of it, and the way the players (for the most part) reacted, working with me to get me through the VP. This gave me the opportunity to be a Founder of the CCG, which I was very proud of.Why am I writing all of this? First I want you to know that I really, really appreciate and admire what you guys and gals are doing with TTR. I look forward to the full availability of the game. And I would like to be able to contribute. Yes, I know I can't send you a server or some cash (real or virtual), but I do have some free time. So if you would like a 68 year old's assistance, in anyway, be it as a moderator or support person, just let me know. In the meantime, I will continue to test, and to act as an elder statesman with pom-poms.Best regards,Weird Stubby
This game looks amazing! I want to play, but getting a reserved spot is hard and the PlayLine is soooo long. I got a spot for Saturday, though. Can't wait to bring back memories!
That's awesome! Amazing how you do all of this, we can't thank you enough! Thanks for bringing back ToonTown!
Disney was a good company, They just didn't have the money to keep running it. When you guys came along and now are trying to restore the faith of toons. It's just amazing and grateful that you guys would do this. Sometimes i oppose with the decisions you make but i come to realize that even though you can't always fulfill every promise and decision. You guys are great toons and deserve to be motivated and hope to be reunited as a whole again. Even if it's just Moderators who keep the toons from being nasty, or even a Contact support member, I appreciate each dedicated job you guys have. Don't ever be brought down by negativity and use the errors to push you guys to success! Stay Toontastic and never go sad!
The Best Game Ever!!! :D
Awesome! Glad that you guys are being recognized!
Thanks again to all the game designers, developers programmers and anyone really who has made a impact on the game. Now the journey to 137 Laff.....Again!! :)
Well as a veteran of toontown you guys deffenitly have my support.
I have just one question. When can I start playing toontown rewritten?
You guys can do it! You have restored my faith in this community of 40k+ toons. Keep up the good work!
Woo! Thats great. Let's just hope Disney keeps out of this!
Awesome, just completely AWESOME! Thanks so much for everyone's hard work and the support from the community!! For all the people that I don't know the names, and the ones that come out on IRC, etc. You guys are absolutely AWESOME!
You came a great distance from the beginning to today. Don't forget that you have to de-code and put them back together.
How in the world does Sir Max pronounce his last name!
You guys are awesome! Thank you so much for all your hard work, it is certainly appreciated :)
I saw the news article earlier today!
thats so nice of you guys you erred my trust!

I am so proud :')You are all truly Amazing.I love you all!
Love what Your Doing To Keep toontown running and the kids happy keep up the good work!
Good job, TTR Team!! You've done so much and continue to do so much for TTR!!
You guys have certainly done a fantastic job bringing this game back. You are inspiring to me...I have always wanted to program games. Being only a teen myself without any access to classes or experienced programmers, I have been trying to teach myself via the internet. You've really helped keep me going! I can't thank you enough for helping me pursue my dream as well as bring back one of my favorite games from childhood :)
I'm so glad you guys posted this, it clears so much up! It's great that you can all be great friends and live so far from eachother. Thank you for just everything, this means a lot to me and my Toontown addicted family! :)
I am so proud of the whole TTR team, keep it up! You are literally two pies away from releasing TTR to the public! I believe in you!
I'm really in awe of you guys! To see what you're accomplishing is amazing. Thank you so much for taking your time, expertise, and obviously, money to give us back such a beloved game. I never thought my family and I would get to play again. When I get impatient trying to get a time slot to play, I remind myself that not too long ago I thought I'd never be able to play toontown again! So, once more…thank you all.
You guys are all truly amazing! Thank you so much for bringing Toontown back on its feet....it has always been my favorite game. But the truth is, its not only a game to me...but it was also a huge part of my childhood and growing up! I appreciate every single one of your efforts.Thank you so much!!!!! :)
I'm proud of you guys for keeping the game up! It must be a lot of hard work, but now it's showing. In a way I wish I could help contribute to the community more with my ideas, like I said keep it up! :) - Jared
I don't know if you're going to make this public, but part of that trust comes from actually engaging with us as people. Running an official Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr page where we can talk with the team members is a good step. Having official forums not being run by untrustworthy people (MMOCentralForums) is also a good idea. Please give us more ways to engage with you rather than staying shut out from us. I feel like I've never talked to any of you - and I haven't. Plus, I've heard the email support is pointless and gets no responses. Please make the effort for us!
Wow, Sir Max, I had no idea you were so young! I have a new appreciation for Toontown Rewritten. I've been impressed since the beginning with the way everything has been handled and presented; it's been a perfect mixture of professional and intimate. I'm much more impressed now that I know some of the developers are in high school! It's really nice to hear how close the team is. I hope you all know how much we appreciate what you're all doing. It really is something special. You have certainly earned our trust Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!PS. Sir Max you are not a goober, you're a doll! :)
What a great article! Well done Joey and the rest of the TTR team! You all are doing great things! It is very reassuring to see the youth of today doing good with their knowledge.
I can't get in to play TTR and y really want to get in to play, i lost my toon of 125 laff and y really want to get in and play
Ya ifyou're teens or college students or whatever! This has been the best TTR server I ever played in my life! You people R the truly the best! People and I'll ALWAYS have your back. :) - Cool Doug.
That was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! For just some teens you guys know how to make a game!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But do we have to enter the playline and stuff forever???
Amazing! I can't wait! Thanks so much TTR:)
I was surprised to see that you guys are just around my age, but that doesn't mean much besides the fact that y'all are so unselfish. You care so much about making others happy that you devote your time from a busy school schedule to make it happen. Respect levels for everyone went up by zillions!
My connection has been broken many times but i've been faithful.I't sbeen difficult!
AHHHH IT'S JUST SO EXCITING!!!!!!! Also, I'm totally baffled (but in a good way!) at how smart, generous, and thoughtful you all are :)
HOLY..... YOU'RE SO YOUNG!!!! HOW ARE YOU SO GOOD?!?! :O
I haven't had any issues until now! My PT has been cut in half and I'm not able to login for most of it.! This has been fine until now when it's been miserable. and not fun!
The article says Disney is concerned they could suffer reputational damage. That already happened when they shut the game hours ahead of time. That was the worst thing to happen to me in any online game ever!
You guys are amazing! Im so glad the toontown community is not only thriving but still continuously growing! thanks TTR!!
seriously can't wait until you launch the game :P
You guys are the best, You've saved Toontown's life and brought it back to Rewritten i'm soo happy right now that i'm going to cry tears of joy :)!!!!!!!
The download doesn't work.
What if I want to donate to you guys? not to help but just because I love the game. (I haven't even played it but when I found out about it I did everything I could to get my hands on some gameplay.)
You guys are incredible, and I put all of my faith and trust in you. You're doing an amazing job and I know success is definitely there for all of you. Keep up the toontastic work, your efforts are out of this world!
You guys are AMAZING! Keep doing what you're doing, we are all very grateful for everything you do. Thank you!!!!
My friend told me that you were on the Bloomberg news, and I expected you to tell us on this post! Can't wait to see you on the TV in Estonia =) If that would only happen! Keep it up, and thanks for everything you have done to bring our favorite game back!
You know, somehow I've always trusted the TTR team from the very start when I first found out about this game on the same day toontown closed... I dunno but when I heard that you guys were going to be recreating this game for all us toons out there I somehow felt like I could really trust you guys and you know what? I'm 100% sure I was right to do so. You guys are doing such a good job! Keep up the good work guys and thank you once again for doing this for us! :)
That is great you guys are working on this loved game, it's so sad that the original developers got dropped by Disney. But it's sounds like some 'veteran' developers are behind you guys in keeping the toon and cog world alive. Thanks for keeping it alive, Toons of the World Unite!!!
You guys are the BEST! We LOVE EVERYTHING you are doing and trust y'all :)!
I feel like crying every time I log on and see my rewritten Toon. She was a part of my life for 8 years... my whole family loved her and cared about her progress. She was almost completely maxed with only one CEO to go... then the log-in servers shut down early on that awful day last year and the rest is history. I don't mind starting over, I don't mind the playline and getting up at 4 am to play. I don't mind at all. I'm just so grateful you took the time to bring back the best family online game ever. Thanks. From the depth of my heart.
You guys are doing amazing! I think you took this game past Disney standards. So far, I have gotten into Toontown using the Playline, and I say that the safety is fine. I feel beta is almost over. Soon, public release! You guys have been had my trust, and you always will! :)
I am so glad you guys are doing this for us. We are so happy that you guys are wanting to make the game come back to life. But most of we're glad you want to keep it safe. Thanks TTR!!! :))) WE LOVE U!!!!!!!!
You guys are absolutely toontastic! Thanks for being so selfless and working on this project. Jellybeans for everyone!
I can't express enough how much I appreciate you guys bringing this back to life :D THANK YOU!
You guys are a great team!
Thank you so much TTR for all you have done for Toontown! We appreciate how much time and effort the whole team has put in for us all :)
awesome
Less than 23 hours to play
my hours for playtime went up instead of down FTW? 26hrs & 36mins from44hrs & 45mins then which became 64hrs & 16mins
Interesting to learn about who's running this. I'm happy that I get to play ToonTown again. My only concern is that I keep getting bumped back hours on the PlayLine really. I thought I was gonna get to play again today and it bumped me up to 10 hours. T-T
TTR, you are the best! When you or anyone else posts on this website, it makes my day. I cried when toontown ended, but when I found out that you're making a new toontown, I ran around my house smreaming and jumping. Thank you for everything you have done.
Kudos to all of the TTR team for not only bringing TT back to its fans, but in an exciting and very professional way for a team that is so young. You have inspired my daughter (she's Sir Max's age) in her continued quest to pursue game development/digital art in HS, college and beyond. I'm proud of you all, you are doing a fantastic job. Keep it up! I'm over halfway through DD now on my dog, Collieflower using the playline :)
I'm glad you brought Toontown back but when will we know when it will be officially up, Before Summer ends? I also had an issue too, regarding to the playline I had 1 day and 3 hrs to play I came back and my time had changed to 78 hours. Is there any chance of me restoring that time I had Before. Thank you.
Guys i highly appreciate the effort you put in this server. Many, many popular games that were started by younger people (like you) till this day are standing and fighting for success.Thank you very very much for re-creating our memories it is much appreciated by millions people. Stay awesome and keep up the TOONTASTIC work!
Seems like a very mature, respectable team. I really hope success finds you all in same way, to take a project like out of the goodness of your heart and fund it personally is beyond words. Cheers TTR team, and hopefully this is a project to last long!
The Gmail ( google mail ) website is down so ill tell you here.theres a bug at ttc on the street while your walking to donalds dock ( maybe punchile place? idk ) and theres like that underground shelter thing thats wooden by a building... you see it when you enter the street from ttc. and if you stand on that and jump into the side of the wall thats sticking out you get sent to the gray zone behind the street. you can remove if you want thanks for your time~Jeremy the brown mouse
In my opinion, Disney didn't have the initiative or see the potential of Toontown. Disney was obsessed with their gross margins, and didn't consider how the game could thrive with a little money here and there. To be honest, the move by Disney to shut down many of their games was a big business mistake - Speederz
This has been a pleasure supporting you and your team. I really hope and see that you all have a good future ahead of you (coming from an unnamed boy under 13 :P). This is really your type of thing, going to all of you. Keep up the good work because this will really get you somewhere. I'll continue to support y'all on this project, and if you ever need help, you can count on me. (Just not coding because I'm only starting to learn it. It's hard finding a tutorial to learn Python. I probably haven't looked hard enough.) Good luck, and I hope I find you in-game some time. I have a lot of hope for all of you. May you be blessed on your journey through life.~Fireheart the cat
You guys are really inspiring, keep up the good work!
I don't know about everyone else but, I certainly trust you guys! Thank you for bringing back our beloved game!
Guys, you are A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Recreating the original ToonTown Online even better, without even needing to pay for a Membership, with small remixes and etc. Thank you... My childhood is back...
Wow, I dont know what to say. Parent's, Kids, Everyone who helped, Thank You for giving us all kids an toontastic way to let us play our beloved game. Now, I played when I was small and now I cried when i saw it closing. But my friend told me all about Toontown Rewritten! I was amazed how you guys believed to work hard and work day after day for us. We are all thankful for everything you guys did for us. Thank You for everything!. :)
I'm really happy that you guys care so much about this, I really appreciate it.
Thank you for this!
Great!! You guys are such a great staff, and there's only like half a dozen of you! It's amazing how you guys can work together and make a game for other people from across the globe. Thanks for all your hard work!
Toontown online was something special. I don't really know why or how to explain it, but for many reasons, this silly little game full of toons throwing pies at the evil corporate cogs was a big part of my family's life. I am a mom of 5 toons and the day that Disney announced TT's closing, I nearly cried right along with my young kids. When my son told me about Toontown Rewritten, I felt like a kid at Christmastime! You have taken a wonderful game and made it even more special because unlike Disney, you're doing it for everyone who felt like we lost something that sad day Disney's cogs won. If I can't donate money or equipment, I will donate positive words and more thank-yous than you can handle. :) Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. THANK YOU!!
I so can't wait to play TTR keep up the good work.
I think that it's fantastic that a group of volunteers would work so hard to keep the game alive for us fans :)I am really, really thankful that you would go so far for us! Thanks for all of the effort!!!
Very proud guys, and WE ALL BELIEVE IN YOU GUYS! You deserve medals!
Wow Joey! You're only a year older than me! I'm inspired to get into coding now! I have never before seen a high-schooler help develop something. It's nice to know the toontown rewritten team more now. You are all doing excellent work! keep it up!
You guys not smoothly becoming professional hosters! Good on you guys. Such professionalism goes a long long way.
I can't wait for the real thing to open! I haven't gotten to play yet cause the play line is a pain and getting a beta key is ridiculous... can't wait! I'm going insane!!
Keep Working On The Game Joey Don't Let Me Down The Only Toontown Game I Like I Toontown Rewritten :D
The TTR team is truly amazing and inspirational. If one of my favorite online games was shut down (which, well...it was), I wouldn't have a clue what to do about it. I would probably just try to forget it and move on, but that can be easier said than done, especially with all of the memories we've created and fun times we've had. Now, thanks to you all, we don't have to forget or move on, but rather, we can keep creating more memories and having more fun times! Thank you so much! (?????)
Im am so happy to get to know the ttr team better i have always wondered what your team was like. Thank you guys for supporting toontown rewritten if you guys didnt then i wouldnt have as much funas i do now
Hey guys, I've been in line since you announced it (although it didn't work for a while because of an 'application error' and was wondering if there are any strict rules to really keep your spot. I haven't moved out of the 60-80 hour period for a couple weeks.. Also, your email doesn't seem to be working. Thanks for reading and for all of your help! :)
When will we be able to play. :D
Wow you guys did amazing job on TTR! I just played TTR for a playtime on June 18 ,7:00 AM and the game felt like the original game disney made. The TTR Team keep on working the game!
I enjoyed the article. I don't know how to thank ya'll for working hard on what is definitely a work of love that so many others can enjoy.
Great job! I can't wait to play. By the way, only one concern. We should be able to have our playline time saved in our account. I cannot keep my laptop awake for 40 hours. Just my idea. Otherwise, great work.
What a fantastic write up. Congrats to all involved in the relaunch here and keep the fun coming. I am a parent who enjoyed the time on TT with my child. Now, we look forward to our TTR time together. Keeps me involved with her game play while binding at the same time. <3 TTR
Yay! Now I know a lot of the peepz. I have been wanting to know them FOREVER!
Oh my gosh, I am so appreciative to you! I owe you my childhood! I was so disappointed when I saw toontown had closed, I immediately started searching for something similiar. I was absolutely addicted to Club penguin, but now that they closed toontown for it, I lost part of my interest that I've had for 6 years of playing. Me and my brother and dad used to always play Toontown and my dad was so sad when he heard it closing. I'm so happy that i hopped around screaming for two hours after I found ttr on yahoo answers. I thought this was being developed by sad, genius parents. B ut this is even more awesome that high schooler's and college people are doing! I'm even more appreciative that you would take the time for younger kids like I was when i started playing Toontown. I never could buy membership and I was so sad. Now I'm immensley happy. I'm so appreciative and there is noting I could do except say, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.~Pritty Kitty :-)
does any body know when we can start playing toontown rewritten?:)
I though you guys said you had permission from disney that you could make TTR, but Bloomberg says you dont have permission
Thank you all so much for all of the work you're doing to help us know what it's like to play our favorite game again. It brings me great joy to know that i'm going to be able to play with my toons again.
This is a revolution. Thanks to Sir Max. We have a revolution that disney make a big mistake toontown was closed and toontown rewritten will maybe have a big updateIs a very big revolution. Maybe they gonna return pirates and the carribean online and pixie dust.Thank you Tom
Even though the game is a bit laggy, it doesn't matter at all because I have wanted to play this game in forever and now I get the chance. Keep up the good work TTR staff!
You Guys are doing great work on TTR!I love it ^_^
Haven't been able to play on this new version of toontown, but i have to say i am speechless as to the 'ToonTown Rewritten's' development teams generosity and selflessness. It's great for fans who are young, but aren't able to play the game anymore; to the somewhat older group of children that wish to live in the nostalgic moment of this game. Great job guys everyone greatly appreciates it!
I got to play the game for the first time in years yesterday and it was amazing! You guys have done such a great job so far! I am very proud of you guys for all of the progress you've made and I couldn't be more grateful. I cannot wait for public release!!! Thank you so much!
I can't believe you toons came this far! I feel like that the public release is just right around the corner, keep up good (wait good, no...) great work!

Ahh... The Memories just come floating back! Thanks TTR, you really brought back my best childhood memories!

You guys should definitely work on making an icon for the desktop shortcut! I can't wait to see what you guys come up with!
So proud of you guys for bringing toontown back. You dont know how many people look up too you for keeping the game going.
i never get to play toontown :(
Thanks for all the work you've done! You toons and toonettes (pun intended) are amazing and crazily awesome people! and OMG that guy like 3 comments from the top thats named 'Man-Bear-Pig' i know where he got that from! its from a video from awhile ago by LordMinion777 its a 'Rust' video he posted on youtube! ^.^ I feel smart.
You guys are amazing!I can't wait for the release! :3
This is great! I can't wait to see it when I finally get in! I just have to wait for my launcher to work somehow..
I used to play Toontown off and on,(Until I found out it was closing) In that 2 weeks I had left I jumped into action!!!!!! and maxed out my 1 old toon and my 2 new toons (in two weeks, mind the fact that as the deadline got closer I got no sleep for 3 days) and I appreciate what everyone is doing for kids, teens, and yes even 68 years old Weird Stubby. Thanks For Bring Back Childhood Memories For Everyone(now I just have to find that beta key!!!)
You guys are something :). From the start of r/toonpulse and now to this, you guys have upped your game by a million. You guys are so talented! Thank you developers for putting your time and effort to recreating this game! We truly appreciate you. :D
will you guys put the Chairman and Cog Nation in TTR because many people have been wondering about it for a long time, and if you do, put them in when TTR releases to the public.
i am glad you guys are taking your time to fix all those bugs and glitches and make the game better and bigger. i respect ,again, that you are taking your time

You have done so much to keep toontown alive! Thank you for everything you have done. I'm glad there are teens like you in the world today!
Why Did Toontown Online Shut Down Free
awww, wow! this is so cool! I had no idea that this was being made by college/highschool students c: that's amazing! your efforts and appreciated a lot!! thank you very much, ttr team :D
Very intense Bloomberg article. Keep up the good work an maybe you might be on TV >:3 Can't wait to play C:
Amazing!!! You are all amazing!!! I was able to reserve a spot on TTR this morning. It was so good to be back!!! I remade my orange bear. :) :) Met some new friends, lookedfor old friends and just had fun playing for 3 hours. Thank you so much, everyone one of you on the TTR team. YOU ROCK!!!
I cant wait more!I wanna help us.
Did you talk to one of the TTRS to give some tips and the website owner. My name is Aslan and I'm from Brazil and I have tips to expand or even some new innovations that can offer who knows.
Oh Man, Im ready to clobber some cogs while I'm waiting in PlayLine, Lets get ready to rumble cogs! By the time I'm done with you, The streets will be full of gears. Toons of the world, UNITE!
You guys should make an app where we can check the news on TTR and also join the play line or schedule a play time because I would definitely download that app. P.S. You should make an overnight button on the play line that allows us to close the TTR tab or close our computer so we can go to sleep without losing our spot in line.
Am I glad that TTR Is coming up to be a great game, especially being made by nostalgic people, because if they weren't nostalgic, this would be an entirely different game! I'm glad you chose your members right.
This is something great just some college students made, even considering it's not run on the Unity Engine, Wow! My childhood is finding a way to follow along through the years. Just, wow.
I can't wait until TTR opens to public, it may be just the beta, but it will be fun getting back on soon. See you all there!
I'll see you guys in TTR! Have a good time and maybe you'll get to see one of your friends from Toontown Online!
Thanks so much for fixing that street glitch! I know so many people on old Toontown who would get mad at it because they couldn't get to a bldg in time. I also got to play Toontown a few days ago and it was great! A few bugs here and there but nothing to shut down the game. It was awesome!
Thank you for granting the peoples wish ttr team I wont forget you.

Toontown Online Download
Can we play now?
The work you people put in to this is what made the foundation for this game. The progress is slowly coming along as the news gets better as we begin closing in on the release. Thanks to the developers of this game. Your career is booming and we are coming in like a hurricane waiting to play this wonderful game that Disney decided to close. Now that you are here, Toontown is getting a second chance and we are grateful to give you support as this game will live on foreverSee you all online very soon.- Freckles
Can't wait until this game comes out, I hope this game will be awesome like it was last time but with more stuff coming out Just can't wait

Nice work guys! Keep up the good work! (Ps I'm not a toon yet this is my future name)

You guys have come a long way, keep up the good work!
Yay! I am so excited for this to finally come out, and not be in Beta because playing with your friends is much better. Until then, I've gotta get all of the solo/easy toontasks done. :D
add bevers to ttr as a toon
I just logged on at my playtime but I had to wait 5 minutes just to update, and afterwards, it wouldn't let me play. You should allow playtimes to be accessible for at least 10 minutes after the scheduled time.
Thank you TTR staff team, I'm ready for the public release:)
Your doing a great job so far, but PLEASE make more slots or improve the server itself.
Shout out to yall for bein the people that bring back childhood memories <3 ily
TTR is like famous and its a very great game I have never seen a portion like this the other TT is was like not what this is it is great! you get to throw pie's and you get to have a air balloon around the first part where you come in to TTR its so fun!
I can't believe the dedication and heart you guys have for this game. I'm excited to see where this game goes with you guys in charge of it and know Disney's legacy on this game is in great hands. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your time, efforts, (and finances since you won't let us help), with this game. It means a lot to not only me, but I know many others as well!
I can't wait!!!! 2 more days and I'm able to play!! So excited!!
Toontown was my favorite game of all time, but I'm not on my computer often. How else can I obtain a beta key?
Just really cant wait until public is released.
I absolutely just adore Weird Stubby's comment. It's amazing to see one of the way originals who made this game even MORE fun to cheer on the best group of innovators, creators and designers the web may have ever seen. Thank you all. We're a beautiful family!
Thank you for remaking toontown! i cant wait to play this game again! every day i hope it opens! I am so proud of u and happy that you wont give up! Toons of the world unite!
Congratulations on your great success!!! I hope that maybe one day you guys will be able to create your own amazing game for us(the players) to enjoy as well!!!!
Three words: That teleport glitch. THANK YOU. This alone is a huge improvement from the original, LOL! Keep it up, and I love the article. This is great!
For all the kids who are older than 12, isn't it amazing how this kids game really intrigued you into still playing it? I think it's because of the fun of it and over all, the love and care TTR/TT community gives. (even for kids under 12)
I loved toontown online I played 200? I cant remember I started I got hacked like one or 2 years I wanted to play but I couldn't but ttr Is saving then day thanks for making this game back up
Toontown Rewritten

Why Did Toontown Online Shutdown Update
best game ever!!! cant wait for release!!!
This is what we need Ill see you in TTR everybody!
So glad I stumbled across this today! I signed up straight away! Maybe giving new users a free beta key as not all of us have the time to wait many hours for a slot to become available. I'm 20 years old and I loved playing TT when it was still available, so it's safe to say that I'm looking forward to when this one comes out. Keep up the good work guys! xoxo
Okay... hold it in... Oh i cant! YESSSS! I remember playing old toontown. I had my first toon up to about 93 laff points and maxed out squirt throw sound and drop! I cannit WAIT until the first release! You are all toontastic!
Man. Thank you guys SO much. When i played the original ToonTown I loved it. But when i heard that it was closing?I wasn't angry. I was definitely sad, but not angry. Because i knew Disney just couldn't run it because they didn't have the money. I was sad for a looong time. After a few months i got over it. I knew it was gone and I thought that it had been too long for anyone to create Toontown 2 or toontown rewritten. Thats when i saw the first alpha gameplay video. I was amazed excited happy.... And I knew that toontown was a big game but i never thought it was so big that you guys created toontown rewritten. And ever since that day i have been reading your posts giving you bug feedback etc. Thank you for bringing back a game that we all loved. You guys are TOONTASTIC!
You guys are amazing! :)
I have been a long time Toontown player, and I am so happy to hear that you are all working your hardest to bring back the game for everyone. I grew up on this game as a child, and I am so ecstatic that you are all working hard to bring back one of the best online games I've played and known. I hope to see you as a fellow cog crushing toon!
Wait a sec- I thought from the progress you guys were making you were trained expert developers! xD well are there any fellow junior high students in the team? xD
